Heavenly Ski Resort - Gondola The Gondola at Heavenly is located in the center of downtown Lake Tahoe, just a few steps from most major hotels / casinos. The Gondola holds eight passengers on its way 2.4 miles up the mountain. The 12 minute ride includes a stop at The Deck, a 14,000 square foot observation platform. The deck, at 9,123 feet, provides breathtaking views of Carson Valley, Desolation Wilderness and views of Lake Tahoe. After completing a stop at the Observation Deck, the Gondola ride continues to Adventure Peak where you can enjoy downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snow tubing, and other outdoor activities. Adventure Peak Grill is a full-service, outdoor restaurant and bar where you can get a grilled hamburger, hot dog, barbeque sandwiches, french fries, and more.
